My Teaching Portfolio

Teaching Chemistry is like teaching a language. It takes time for students to learn the vocabulary like covalent and oxidize. No one likes that period of time where they can't understand, but when that lightbulb clicks, they unlock a whole world of colors, explosions, power, and most importantly, wonder.

Personal Statment

In high school, I was never very good at biology, chemistry, or math. Despite enjoying the subjects, I struggled with their difficult concepts. However, I was blessed to have outstanding teachers, who cared deeply about me, and about the subject they were teaching.

Thanks to their dedication and passion, science is one of my greatest passions, and teaching it is part of what I enjoy the most. I want to give some kid the opportunity that I was given--a chance to see the world for how beautiful and marvelous it truly is.
